CLIMATE

"Depending on the altitude, the climate in the Andean forests can considerably vary. Between 2,000 and 4,500 meters above sea level, the temperature is between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius. When the altitude is between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level, the forest regions are called high altitude forests and their temperature ranges between 14 and 20 degrees Celsius. The Andean lowland forest, which is between 300 and 700 meters above sea level, has a temperature of 18 degrees Celsius".

In the Andean forests of higher latitude and lower temperatures the days are very cloudy and the nights even colder, they are humid forests and they always have fog.
